The KENNAMETAL 5030114 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for finishing operations in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Measuring 0.625 inches in diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, it features six flutes ground to a high helix angle of 38 degrees and carries an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating for heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry. This tool is built for machinists and toolroom operators running CNC milling equipment where edge integrity and surface finish in tough alloys are critical.
The 5030114 is suited for finishing cuts in aerospace, die-mold, medical, and general precision machining environments where the workpiece material falls into ISO material groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), S (superalloys and titanium), or H (hard materials). The standard-length flute and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with a wide range of collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders, including HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores. The 0.625 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and shrink-fit holders sized for 5/8 inch shanks. Intended for ISO material groups P, M, S, and H as part of the KENNAMETAL UJDE series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify runout at the tool tip does not exceed the tolerance of the application before beginning a cut. Consult the machine control and toolholder documentation for appropriate clamping torque — do not estimate.
