The KENNAMETAL 4175976 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the Top Notch series, designed for external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to insert style NRP with size designation 3094, it carries a KCU10 grade designation and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating applied via PVD process. The cutting width is 4.78 mm (0.1882 inches) and the maximum depth of cut is 3.81 mm (0.1500 inches). The full-radius geometry with a corner radius of 2.39 mm (0.0941 inches) and a positive rake angle make it suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where chip control and surface quality matter. Installation Notes
