The KENNAMETAL 4169513 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding cutting applications. Built to KENNAMETAL UEDE series standards, this single-end tool features a 1/8 inch mill diameter with a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) length of cut and a 1/4 inch shank diameter. The overall length is 1-1/2 inches, placing it in the stub-length category for improved rigidity in tight setups. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the right-hand spiral flute geometry supports smooth, stable cuts across a variety of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for precision slot milling, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous alloys, hardened steels, stainless steel, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The stub length and 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into workpieces without pre-drilling, adding versatility in 2.5D and 3D toolpath strategies. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the KENNAMETAL UEDE series, compatible with standard 1/4 inch collet chucks and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to prevent pullout during cutting. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings against the material being cut before starting the program. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
