The KENNAMETAL 4151111 is a screw machine length (stub length) drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with a multilayer TiAlN finish, this bit delivers extended tool life in demanding materials. It measures 3.60 mm in diameter with an overall length of 62.00 mm (2.44 inches) and features a 140-degree standard point angle optimized for fast, accurate entry. A tapered web configuration reinforces the cutting tip under load. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed drilling cycles where chip evacuation and heat control are critical. This bit is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production environments.
The 4151111 is suited for short-hole drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a compact flute length and rigid stub body reduce deflection and improve hole accuracy. Its straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems. The regular right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes consistent chip flow. Maximum drilling depth is 14.00 mm (0.55 inches), making it ideal for through-holes and blind holes in thin to medium stock. It conforms to DIN 6537K specification, common in precision machining shops and automated CNC drilling centers.
Designed as an OEM-style stub length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6.00 mm straight cylindrical shank, within the KENNAMETAL B051A-CPG series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the straight shank fully within the collet or chuck to the specified grip depth before torquing. Confirm coolant-through lines are clear and delivering adequate flow before running at operating speed. Do not use this bit beyond its rated maximum drilling depth of 14.00 mm per pass.
