The KENNAMETAL 4150768 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding production environments. It features a 31/64 inch (0.4844 inch) diameter with a 140-degree split-point geometry and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.3594 inches in diameter, and the overall length is 4.8819 inches (124.00 mm). With a right-hand spiral flute configuration and tapered web design, this drill delivers consistent chip evacuation in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is sized to DIN 6537K specification and is suited for CNC machining centers and drill press applications requiring close-tolerance hole production.
This drill bit is built for production drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 77.00 mm flute length support deep-hole drilling up to 2.3622 inches (60.00 mm). It is typically used in job shop and manufacturing environments where consistent bore quality and long tool life are required. Licensed machinists and CNC operators handling precision metalworking applications will find this drill compatible with standard toolholders accepting straight-shank drill bits.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders and drill chucks in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups. Suitable for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials per the manufacturer specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully and evenly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to prevent runout. Verify recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material before beginning the drilling cycle, and do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 2.3622 inches without retracting to clear chips.
