The KENNAMETAL 4150751 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It features an 11.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a multilayer TiAlN coating for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The overall length is 118.00 mm with a 71.00 mm flute length, giving it a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio suitable for moderate-depth hole production. The straight cylindrical shank measures 12 mm in diameter and 45 mm in length. This drill is built to DIN 6537K specification and is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC machining centers or drill presses.
This drill is suited for production drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 140-degree point geometry reduces thrust force on entry and helps center the drill without a pilot hole in many setups. The regular spiral flute with tapered web configuration promotes chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. It is a right-hand cutting tool and does not include coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for setups using flood coolant or air blast at the exterior.
Designed as a DIN 6537K-compliant jobber drill for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 12 mm straight shank, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual drill presses set up for metalworking operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpieces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the recommended grip length to minimize runout. Verify cutting parameters including speed and feed are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting the cut.
