The KENNAMETAL 4150713 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It features a 140-degree split point and a multilayer TiAlN coating that resists heat and extends cutting life in production environments. The 8.20 mm diameter cutting edge is ground to a close tolerance of -0.0006 to 0.0000 inches, supporting accurate hole sizing without secondary reaming in many applications. With an overall length of 103.00 mm (4.0551 inches) and a flute length of 61.00 mm (2.4016 inches), it fits standard jobber-length toolholders. This drill is installed by machinists and tool-and-die trades in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This drill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support chip evacuation in moderate-depth drilling. The straight cylindrical shank at 10 mm (0.6250 inches) diameter seats in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Maximum drilling depth is 49.00 mm (1.9291 inches). It conforms to DIN 6537K geometry, making it a direct fit in shops standardized on metric DIN tooling. Typical applications include structural component drilling, fixture fabrication, and production-line hole-making where tight diameter tolerance and tool life are priorities.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 10 mm straight cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys per the DIN 6537K specification designation.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators. Secure the straight shank fully within the chuck or collet holder before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the tolerance class required. Coolant-through is not supported on this drill; apply external coolant or cutting fluid at the drill entry point when machining steel or stainless steel to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use in production runs, as carbide tips are brittle and susceptible to chipping if the drill is dropped or improperly stored.
