The KENNAMETAL 4150669 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for precision hole-making in a wide range of materials. It features a 140-degree split-point geometry that reduces walking and minimizes thrust force at entry. The titanium nitride (TiN) coating extends tool life by increasing surface hardness and reducing friction during cutting. At 82.00 mm overall length with a 44.00 mm flute length, this drill handles depths up to 35.00 mm. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets. Right-hand spiral fluting evacuates chips efficiently throughout the cut. This tool is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working on CNC machines, drill presses, and hand-held power tools.
This jobber drill is suited for general-purpose drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials in both production and maintenance environments. The 5.106 mm diameter and 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it a practical choice for close-tolerance work where dimensional accuracy at the bore entrance matters. It is commonly used in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and MRO settings where carbide tooling is specified over high-speed steel for longer run life and heat resistance.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill compatible with standard drill chucks, collet holders, and CNC tooling systems accepting a 6 mm straight shank. Fits drill bit size ranges of 0.2000 to 0.2500 decimal inch and 4.00 to 5.00 mm per standard tooling classifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Ensure the shank is clean and the chuck or collet is free of chips before seating the drill. Verify runout after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates carbide wear and can cause premature breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer and ANSI B11 safety guidelines for drill press and CNC machining center operation.
