The KENNAMETAL 4150666 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It features a 140-degree point angle for reduced thrust and self-centering entry, a multilayer TiAlN coating for heat resistance and tool life, and a right-hand spiral flute configuration. The drill measures 4.90 mm in diameter with an overall length of 82.00 mm (3.228 inches) and a flute length of 44.00 mm (1.732 inches). It conforms to DIN 6537K specification. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC and manual drilling equipment.
The 4150666 is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports effective chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm (0.250 inch) diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet systems. Typical applications include production drilling in job shops, maintenance and repair operations, and precision fabrication environments where consistent hole geometry and diameter tolerance are critical.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Rated for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Fits applications within the 4.00 mm to 5.00 mm drill diameter range.
Install and remove this drill using appropriate chuck or collet tooling rated for the shank diameter. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production drilling to protect both the tool and the workpiece. No coolant-through capability is present on this drill, so apply cutting fluid externally when drilling steel or stainless steel to manage heat at the cutting edge.
