The KENNAMETAL 4150647 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6537K specification, this drill features a 3.80 mm diameter, a 140-degree point angle, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting environments. The two-flute, right-hand spiral geometry delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. With an overall length of 74.00 mm (2.913 inches) and a flute length of 36.00 mm (1.417 inches), it suits standard jobber-depth drilling tasks on CNC machining centers and manual drill presses alike.
This drill bit is suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. A straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter (0.984 inches) allows direct mounting in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration support accurate hole entry and maintain rigidity through the cut. Typical users include machining technicians, toolroom professionals, and industrial maintenance trades working in fabrication, manufacturing, and repair environments.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement and standard jobber drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle equipment that accept straight-shank tooling in the 3.00 mm to 4.00 mm diameter range per DIN standards.
Installation is performed by qualified machining technicians or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank fully within the collet or chuck to the recommended grip length before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerance-critical hole quality is required. Always power down and lock out the spindle drive before changing tooling. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 29.00 mm (1.142 inches) without retracting to clear chips, particularly in blind-hole applications.
