The KENNAMETAL 4150266 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-productivity drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a 9.00 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree point angle for reduced thrust and accurate self-centering, and a multilayer TiAlN coating applied at the tip to extend tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 10.00 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 89.00 mm (3.504 inches). With a 2-flute regular spiral design and tapered web configuration, this bit delivers efficient chip evacuation in stub-length drilling operations. It is installed by machinists and tool room technicians working with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle equipment.
This drill bit is suited for stub-length hole-making operations in production machining environments, including job shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance operations. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 35.00 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in a range of workpiece materials. The Series B041A-CPG designation identifies this as part of a coordinated family of carbide drilling tools. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or mist lubrication should be applied as required by the material being drilled.
Designed as a stub-length replacement or direct-fit carbide drill for applications specifying a 9.00 mm diameter, DIN 6537K geometry, and straight-shank toolholding. Compatible with any spindle accepting a 10.00 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool room personnel. Verify that the toolholder bore and collet are clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set per the material and coating recommendations for solid carbide tooling before engaging the cut. Do not use this bit in hand-held drill applications; it is designed for rigid machine tool spindles only.
