The KENNAMETAL 4149775 is a taper length drill bit in the B053A-CPG series, designed for precision hole-making in demanding metalworking and machining operations. Built from solid carbide grade KC7325 and finished with a multilayer TiAlN coating, this bit delivers high wear resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. It measures 13.5 mm (0.5315 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree point angle and a 155 mm (6 inches) overall length. A straight-cylindrical shank at 14 mm (0.5512 inches) diameter allows secure clamping in standard tool holders. This drill is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 4149775 is suited for taper-length drilling applications in steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous materials where hole depth and straightness are critical. The 8xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio supports deep hole entry, and coolant-through capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the tip for chip evacuation and thermal control. Maximum drilling depth is 91 mm (3.5827 inches). The spiral flute geometry is a regular right-hand cut, per DIN 6537K, making this bit compatible with standard right-hand spindle setups in vertical machining centers and drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit drill in setups requiring a 14 mm straight-cylindrical shank and conforming to DIN 6537K geometry; verify spindle speed and feed parameters against the KC7325 grade recommendations for the target workpiece material.
This drill is installed by machinists in CNC machining centers, turret lathes, or drill presses equipped with appropriate collet or hydraulic chuck tooling rated for the 14 mm shank diameter. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes. Confirm coolant-through lines are clear and pressure is within machine specifications before initiating a cut. Do not use in left-hand spindle configurations; the right-hand flute geometry will not evacuate chips correctly in reverse rotation.
