The KENNAMETAL 4149628 is a taper length drill bit in the B053A-CPG series, designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with a multilayer TiAlN finish, this bit handles high-heat, high-speed drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 140-degree standard point reduces thrust and self-centers quickly on entry. With a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch decimal) diameter and a straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. Flute length runs 56 mm (2.2047 inches) and overall length is 94 mm (3.75 inches). Coolant-through capability supports high-performance applications where chip evacuation and thermal control are critical.
This drill bit suits CNC machining centers and manual drilling operations where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required. The right-hand spiral flute and tapered web configuration make it effective in production environments machining steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar alloys. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides extended reach for deeper holes relative to the bit diameter. Maximum drilling depth is 48 mm (1.8898 inches). Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and precision fabricators working to DIN 6537K standards will find this bit dimensionally consistent and ready for direct replacement or new-application use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application drill bit conforming to DIN 6537K specification, suitable for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.2362-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the bit. Verify collet or chuck bore matches the 0.2362-inch shank diameter to prevent runout. When using the coolant-through feature, confirm coolant supply lines are connected and system pressure is appropriate for the machine before starting the cut.
