The KENNAMETAL 4149605 is a taper length solid carbide drill bit in the B053A-CPG series, designed for precision drilling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3.8 mm diameter, a 140-degree standard point, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter. With coolant-through capability, this bit maintains cutting performance during deep-hole operations. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC machining centers and precision drill presses.
This drill bit is suited for precision hole-making in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where tight diameter tolerances and extended reach are required. The 8xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make it appropriate for deep drilling applications in production and job-shop environments. The right-hand spiral flute promotes effective chip evacuation throughout the cut. Conforming to DIN 6537K, it fits standard straight-shank toolholders used in automated and manual machining setups.

Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully and evenly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before tightening. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and flow is confirmed before beginning production drilling.
