The KENNAMETAL 4149324 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It features a 12.80 mm (0.5039 inch) diameter, a 140-degree point angle for stable entry and reduced thrust, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 14 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 124.00 mm (4.8819 inches). With coolant-through capability and a tapered web configuration, this drill is built for productive, accurate drilling in production environments. It is typically installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel.
This drill is suited for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It follows DIN 6537K geometry with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, making it appropriate for moderate-depth drilling applications in both manual and CNC machining centers. The right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral flute form are standard for general-purpose production drilling. Maximum drilling depth is 60.00 mm (2.3622 inches), and the flute length is 77.00 mm (3.0315 inches).
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide jobber drill suitable for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a straight cylindrical shank with a 14 mm shank diameter. Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals per DIN 6537K specification.
Installation and operation of this drill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling personnel. Secure the straight shank firmly in a compatible chuck or collet system before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable limits to avoid premature tool wear. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Confirm that coolant-through supply is active when using the internal coolant channel to prevent thermal damage to the cutting edge.
