The KENNAMETAL 4149323 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life and supports elevated cutting speeds. The 140-degree point angle promotes self-centering and reduces thrust load compared to conventional 118-degree geometries. At 4.882 inches overall length with a 3.032-inch flute, this bit handles a maximum drilling depth of 2.362 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.551 inches diameter fits standard drill chucks. Machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar alloys are the primary users.
This drill bit suits general-purpose jobber-length applications in both manual and CNC machining operations. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral type make it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole work in ferrous metals and hardened materials. The tapered web configuration supports chip evacuation under moderate to high feed rates.
