The KENNAMETAL 4149267 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. It features a 9.10 mm diameter with a 140-degree split point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 10 mm in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks or collet holders. Overall length is 103 mm (4.055 inches) with a flute length of 61 mm (2.402 inches). Right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute pattern ensures efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed drilling strategies in hard or abrasive materials.
This drill is suited for production machining in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking environments where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous alloys. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make it effective in both vertical machining centers and CNC drill presses. Maximum drilling depth is 49 mm (1.929 inches). It is manufactured to DIN 6537K specification, making it a direct fit for setups already standardized to DIN tooling.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Fits standard straight-shank chucks and collet holders accepting a 10 mm shank. Conforms to DIN 6537K specification. Suitable for drill bit size range 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm (0.3500 to 0.4000 inches decimal).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is clamped to the correct torque specification for the chuck or collet holder being used. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and coolant pressure is set according to the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before running. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use to confirm the tool is within service tolerance.
