The KENNAMETAL 4149264 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit with a 140-degree point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating. Designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments, this bit features a right-hand cutting direction and a regular spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. With an overall length of 4.0551 inches (103 mm) and a flute length of 2.4016 inches (61 mm), it is sized for general-purpose jobber-length applications. The straight cylindrical shank measures 10 mm in diameter and 40 mm in length. Through-coolant capability supports higher feed rates and extended tool life in deep-hole operations. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This drill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drilling machines, and high-speed production setups. It targets a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make it appropriate for precision hole-making operations where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical factors. It conforms to DIN 6537K specification for solid carbide jobber drills.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide jobber drill conforming to DIN 6537K, compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 10 mm shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Verify that the machine spindle and chuck or collet are rated for the shank diameter and intended cutting speeds before use. Enable through-coolant flow before initiating the cut when using coolant-through capability. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; do not operate a chipped or damaged carbide drill at rated parameters.
