The KENNAMETAL 4149253 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding production environments. The 8 mm diameter bit features a multilayer TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life in high-temperature cutting applications. A 140-degree point angle reduces thrust and improves centering on entry. With an overall length of 91 mm and a flute length of 53 mm, the bit fits standard drill chucks and machining center toolholders. Internal coolant-through capability supports high-speed, deep-hole operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This bit is built to DIN 6537K specification and is sold individually.
This drill bit is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools in metalworking shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 43 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar alloys.
