The KENNAMETAL 4149218 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It features a 5.50 mm diameter, a 140-degree point angle for aggressive entry and reduced thrust, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under heat. The two-flute spiral design promotes chip evacuation, and the tapered web configuration adds rigidity at the cutting tip. At 82.00 mm overall length with a 44.00 mm flute length, this drill fits standard jobber applications across machining centers and drill presses. Coolant-through capability makes it suitable for deeper cuts where heat buildup is a concern.
This drill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537K specifications, making it a fit for shops that standardize on metric DIN tooling. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter seats in standard collet chucks and drill chucks without additional adapters.
