The KENNAMETAL 4149208 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 11, with a 0.1910-inch diameter and a 140-degree point angle. It is coated with multilayer TiAlN for extended tool life in demanding drilling applications. The drill features a regular right-hand spiral flute, a straight cylindrical shank, and coolant-through capability that delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge. At 3.2283 inches overall length with a 1.7323-inch flute length, this bit is built to DIN 6537K specification and is suited for high-performance production drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool-room technicians working on CNC or manual drill presses are the primary users.
This drill is designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 140-degree point angle reduces thrust force and improves hole entry accuracy, making it well suited for interrupted cuts and hard materials. Coolant-through capability supports deep-hole drilling cycles at higher feed rates. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration provide chip clearance and rigidity appropriate for production environments where consistent hole quality is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other equipment accepting a 0.1250-inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and collet or drill chuck are clean and properly seated before securing the shank. Verify that coolant-through passages are clear and that the machine coolant system is functioning before running at elevated feeds. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool runout and holding torque when changing cutting tools.
