The KENNAMETAL 4149132 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding production environments. It features a 3.40 mm (0.1339 inch) diameter, a 140-degree point angle for reduced thrust and self-centering entry, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. With an overall length of 66.00 mm (2.5984 inches) and a flute length of 28.00 mm (1.1024 inches), this drill is suited for short-to-medium depth holes up to 23.00 mm (0.9055 inches). Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone.
This jobber drill is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm (0.6250 inch) in diameter and 36.00 mm (1.4173 inches) in length, compatible with standard ER and straight-bore toolholders found on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production lathes. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio suits general-purpose jobber drilling applications in both job-shop and high-volume manufacturing settings. Manufactured to DIN 6537K specification, this drill meets consistent dimensional and performance standards expected in precision machining operations.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide jobber drill for use in standard straight-bore and ER-style toolholding systems accepting a 6 mm straight shank. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
This drill is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or changing tooling. Verify toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before drilling, as excessive runout accelerates carbide tool wear and can cause premature breakage. When using the coolant-through feature, confirm coolant pressure and flow rate are appropriate for the toolholder and spindle interface before engaging the spindle.
