The KENNAMETAL 4149129 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It measures 1/8 inch (0.1250 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree split point and a multilayer TiAlN coating for extended tool life and heat resistance. The overall length is 2.598 inches (66.00 mm), with a flute length of 1.102 inches (28.00 mm). With a right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral flute geometry, this drill is suited for production environments where consistent hole quality and dimensional accuracy are required. It meets DIN 6537K specification and features coolant-through capability for chip evacuation and thermal control during deep-hole drilling operations.
This drill bit is used in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for standard jobber-depth holes in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where straight-shank tooling is required. The 0.750-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems. It is typically installed by machinists and toolroom professionals in manufacturing, fabrication, and job-shop environments.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style carbide jobber drill for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials as specified by the manufacturer. Compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.750-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before starting the spindle. Ensure coolant lines are open and flowing when using the through-coolant feature to prevent chip packing and premature tool failure. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine guarding requirements during tool changes and drilling operations.
