The KENNAMETAL 4131334 is a 5/16-18 UNC straight-flute hand tap ground to a bottoming chamfer for threading holes that require full threads to the bottom of a blind bore. Manufactured from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tap is suited for general-purpose hand tapping in machine shops, maintenance environments, and production toolrooms. The 4-flute straight-flute geometry provides balanced cutting action and chip clearance in through and blind holes. Right-hand thread direction, a 2B class of fit, and an H5 thread limit make it a standard choice for UNC fastener assembly work where dimensional accuracy is required.

This tap is intended for use in cast iron and non-ferrous metals, making it appropriate for applications in general metalworking, equipment repair, and light manufacturing. Installation Notes
