The KENNAMETAL 4124385 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the UGDE series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. It carries a 25 mm cutting diameter, a 75 mm length of cut, and a 3 mm corner radius that reduces edge chipping and improves surface finish on difficult workpiece materials. The tool features 5 flutes with a high helix angle of 43 degrees and is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, which extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. With an overall length of 150 mm and a 25 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing operations on a single-end, right-hand cutting configuration. The extended reach geometry and spiral flute design support chip evacuation in deeper pockets and cavities. It is appropriate for use on CNC machining centers in production environments where tool life consistency and surface quality are critical. The normal pitch and fixed helix design make it straightforward to program and apply across a variety of part features.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Metric Bores, ER Single Angle Standard Collets, HC-DV Form B/AD toolholders, and HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Shank diameter tolerance is +0.000 / -0.013 mm for precise hydraulic and collet chuck seating.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine fully stopped and the spindle locked before tool changes. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer's minimum grip requirement before tightening. This is a non-centercutting end mill and should not be used for direct plunge operations. Follow the toolholder torque procedure specified by the toolholder manufacturer for the collet or hydraulic chuck in use.
