The KENNAMETAL 4124358 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in ferrous and exotic alloy applications. It carries a 12 mm cutting diameter with a 0.51 mm corner radius that reduces chipping at the cutting edge and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. The 5-flute geometry paired with a high-helix spiral flute design supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. Licensed HVAC and mechanical trades using CNC milling equipment will recognize this as a high-performance production tool suited to tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is built for single-end use in right-hand cutting, right-hand flute configurations. It is suited to milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extra-long length of cut at 60 mm and a 125 mm overall length allow reach into deeper pockets and stepped features without tool changes. The straight-cylindrical 12 mm shank is compatible with ER single angle standard collets for secure toolholder engagement on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed for use with ER single angle standard collets. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as indicated by material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Part of the KENNAMETAL UGDE series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine in a full stop and E-stop engaged before touching the spindle or toolholder. The straight-cylindrical shank must be seated fully and clamped to the collet manufacturer torque specification for the ER collet size in use. Inspect the collet and collet nut for wear before each install to prevent runout, which accelerates edge wear on carbide tools. Do not use this end mill in center-cutting operations as this tool is not center-cutting.
