The KENNAMETAL 4124355 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal across a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials. It features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and five flutes with a high-helix spiral geometry that supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection at elevated cutting temperatures. At 100 mm overall length with a 36 mm length of cut, this tool is suited for extended-reach applications without sacrificing rigidity.
This end mill belongs to KENNAMETAL's UGDE series and is designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling operations where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. Its right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry make it a standard fitment in most vertical and horizontal machining center setups. The straight-cylindrical shank interfaces directly with ER single angle standard collets. It is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn, the tool is replaced rather than indexed. Typical users include CNC machinists and toolroom operators working with ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces in production or job-shop environments.
Designed for use with ER single angle standard collets. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet chuck is safely de-energized before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully in the ER collet to the recommended gauge depth and torque the collet nut per the collet manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before entering the cut, especially in extended-reach setups where deflection can affect finish and tool life.
