The KENNAMETAL 4124329 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and 5 flutes with a high-helix spiral geometry oriented for right-hand cutting. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in difficult-to-machine workpieces. With a 30 mm length of cut and 76 mm overall length, this is an extra-long reach tool suited for deeper cavities and profiling operations. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is designed for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup, reducing tool changes and cycle time. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter is compatible with ER single angle standard collets, making it straightforward to seat in standard toolholding systems. The normal pitch and fixed helix design provide predictable chip evacuation across the primary workpiece material groups. It is well suited for vertical and horizontal machining centers running steel, stainless, cast iron, superalloys, and hard material applications where corner edge integrity is critical.
Compatible with ER single angle standard collets. Designed for use in CNC machining centers performing roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Series UGDE.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge line before tightening; confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before operation. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide cutting tools.
