The KENNAMETAL 4121576 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal cutting across a range of demanding workpiece materials. Identified by ISO code HNGJ0604ANENLD and manufactured in the KC510M grade, this insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that resists heat and wear during interrupted and continuous milling operations. The hexagon insert shape provides 12 usable cutting edges on a double-sided configuration, reducing per-edge tooling cost in production environments. A positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a honed cutting edge style promote clean chip formation and lower cutting forces. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists working in aerospace, general machining, and precision manufacturing environments will find this insert well-suited to sustained milling work.
This insert is rated for use on steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, N, S, and H. It is compatible with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. The LD chip breaker geometry is engineered to manage chip flow across these varied material groups. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling operations in job shops and production facilities running ferrous and exotic alloy components.
Designed for use with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. ISO code HNGJ0604ANENLD; ANSI code HNGJ43ANENLD. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under ISO groups P (steel), N (non-ferrous metal), S (superalloys and titanium), and H (hard material).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or socket-head driver specified for the cutter body screw — do not over-tighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excess clamping force. Verify the insert pocket is clean and free of chips or debris before seating to ensure proper contact and edge height repeatability.
