The KENNAMETAL 4119190 is a solid carbide milling insert in the HNGJ hexagon insert style, manufactured to ISO code HNGJ0604ANENLD and ANSI code HNGJ43ANENLD. This double-sided insert features 12 cutting edges and carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3, making it effective across a broad range of workpiece materials. The LD chip breaker geometry and positive rake angle of 15 degrees promote efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. At 0.1764 inches thick with an inscribed circle of 0.4724 inches, it is a compact, high-edge-count insert suited for face and shoulder milling operations in production environments. It is installed and managed by machinists and toolroom technicians.
This insert is designed for use in Kennametal Dodeka cutter series toolholders. It is rated for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. The neutral hand designation makes it suitable for standard right-hand and general-purpose milling setups in both job shop and high-volume production environments. A maximum depth of cut of 0.4766 inches supports moderate to aggressive material removal rates depending on machine and setup rigidity.
Designed for use in Kennametal Dodeka cutter series milling systems. Cutter series compatibility is listed as Dodeka per manufacturer data. Confirm toolholder seat geometry and insert pocket specifications before installation.
This insert is installed by machinists or toolroom technicians using the appropriate torx or hex key for the clamping screw. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully and evenly in the pocket before tightening the screw to avoid seating errors that can cause premature edge failure or insert breakage. Inspect the pocket seat for chips or debris before each insert change.
