The KENNAMETAL 4109917 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the Top Notch series, designed for external grooving and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a KCU25 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, delivering thermal resistance and wear protection in demanding cuts. The insert is left-hand orientation with a 3.96 mm (0.1559 inch) cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 3.81 mm (0.1500 inch). The full-radius geometry and K chip breaker profile make it well suited for grooving to close tolerances on steel and alloy materials.
