The KENNAMETAL 4079253 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hardened workpieces. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and improves surface finish at the transition between the flank and face. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-heat cutting environments. Overall length is 4 inches with a 1.5 inch length of cut.
This end mill belongs to the KENNAMETAL UADE series, which is engineered for extended-reach applications in ferrous and exotic alloy machining. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1 inch in diameter and is compatible with hydraulic sleeve toolholders including HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves inch with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Right-hand cutting direction and normal pitch fluting make it a standard choice for CNC machining centers running steel and difficult alloys.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves inch with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD toolholding systems. Intended for use on CNC machining centers in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard material applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the specified gage length in the toolholder and that clamping force meets the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to prevent premature edge wear or tool failure.
