The KENNAMETAL 4075307 is a solid carbide turning insert with ANSI designation DNMG432MP and ISO designation DNMG150408MP, finished in a multilayer MTCVD TiCN and Al2O3 coating under the KCP25 manufacturer grade. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a negative rake angle and negative side clearance, producing four usable cutting edges per insert. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, the corner radius is 0.03125 inches (1/32 inch), and insert thickness is 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch). The MP chip breaker geometry is engineered for roughing and medium machining operations. This insert is part of the KENLOC series and is held by clamp or pin mounting methods.
This insert is designed for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring applications. The KCP25 grade targets steel and cast iron as primary workpiece materials, delivering moderate wear resistance combined with toughness suited to interrupted and continuous cuts in those materials. It also carries a secondary rating for aluminum and non-ferrous materials with moderate wear resistance to high toughness. Maximum depth of cut is 0.4065 inches (13/32 inch). The neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable to a wide range of tool holders in both CNC and manual lathe setups commonly found in production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application insert for KENLOC series tool holders accepting DNMG-style inserts with clamp or pin holding. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for DNMG432 and DNMG150408 insert geometries.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Ensure the tool holder pocket and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before installing the insert. Verify clamp torque and pin engagement per the tool holder manufacturer specifications before resuming cutting operations.
