The KENNAMETAL 4067328 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in ferrous and hard materials. Built to the HPHV series standard, it features a 1 inch mill diameter, 4 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer with a 0.0200 inch chamfer width. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. With four variable-index flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this tool is engineered for demanding shouldering, slotting, rampdown, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. It is a center-cutting, single-end tool suited for experienced machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials, aligning with ISO material codes P, M, K, and H. The 7 inch overall length and 1 inch Weldon flat shank provide rigid tool holding in standard end mill holders and Weldon-style chucks. The HPHV series is built for both roughing and finishing passes, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production environments where tool changes need to be minimized. Variable flute geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts in difficult workpiece materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch Weldon flat shank. Rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, and H. Catalog reference: HPHV1000S4400CH.
Installation and operation of this tooling should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before mounting or removing the tool. Verify holder runout and torque set screws to the end mill holder manufacturer specifications using the Weldon flat engagement. Confirm cutting parameters including feed rate, depth of cut, and spindle speed match the workpiece material and machine capability before engaging the cut.
