The KENNAMETAL 4067263 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. It carries a 0.625 inch mill diameter, a 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The AlTiN PVD coating provides heat and oxidation resistance, extending tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes, a high helix angle, and centercutting geometry, this end mill handles both roughing and finishing operations. It belongs to KENNAMETAL Series HPHV, engineered for extended reach applications with a Weldon flat shank for secure tool holding.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The extended reach design and long flute length make it effective for deep-cavity milling, pocketing, and profile work where standard-length tools cannot reach. Single-end construction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Compatible holder systems noted by the manufacturer include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding adapters.
Compatible toolholding systems specified by the manufacturer include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A adapters. Designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials as defined by material grade codes P, M, K, and H. Submicron carbide grade construction is appropriate for ISO P, M, K, and H workpiece categories.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a compatible holder tightened to the holder manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate hex key. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout at the cutting diameter after setup and before engaging the workpiece to prevent premature edge wear.
