The KENNAMETAL 4067239 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 5/8-inch mill diameter, a 0.015-inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single pass. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. At 3.5 inches overall length with a 3/4-inch length of cut, this short-length geometry reduces deflection and supports aggressive feed rates in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It belongs to the HPHV series and features extended reach geometry with a Weldon flat shank for positive drive in the spindle.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms working primarily with ferrous and hard materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. It is appropriate for applications requiring a controlled corner radius to reduce stress concentrations at workpiece corners, particularly in die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision part machining in steel and stainless steel. Compatible toolholding interfaces noted in supplier data include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A holders.
Designed for use with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials classified under material grades P, M, K, and H. Accepts standard 5/8-inch Weldon flat collets and shrink-fit holders sized for 5/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. Confirm the Weldon flat is properly aligned with the toolholder setscrew before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified procedure. Inspect the AlTiN coating and cutting edges for chips or wear before mounting; a damaged edge on carbide tooling can fracture under load. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's runout tolerance specifications and verify tool projection length before initiating a new program.
