The KENNAMETAL 4067237 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Part of the HPHV series, it features a 5/8-inch diameter, 4-flute configuration, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0200-inch chamfer width. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. Rated at a 3-inch overall length with a 3/4-inch length of cut, this end mill is suited for shops running high-feed operations where both roughing and finishing are required in a single tool pass. A licensed machinist or CNC programmer typically selects and installs this tooling.
This end mill is built for a wide range of milling operations including shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, plunging, and recessing. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive in standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, and H. The variable flute index and medium helix style help reduce chatter and improve surface finish across these material groups.
Designed for use in standard 5/8-inch end mill holders with Weldon flat drive. Compatible with CNC machining centers cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO P, M, K, H). Catalog reference: HPHV625S4075CH.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all axis drives are disabled before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw to the holder manufacturer specification before running. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces chamfer accuracy.
