The KENNAMETAL 4067222 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the HPHV series standard, it features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length with a matching 3/4 inch shank diameter. The four-flute geometry and 38-degree helix angle support aggressive feed rates while maintaining surface finish quality. An AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-temperature cutting conditions. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-room professionals running ferrous and hardened workpiece materials on CNC milling equipment.
This end mill is suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials in production and job-shop environments. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic chatter during side milling and slotting operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. It is a single-end tool, meaning the full value is delivered from one cutting end, and is manufactured to fractional inch standards common in North American machine shops. Material grade KCPM15 provides the substrate toughness and wear resistance appropriate for these application categories.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the recommended grip length. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades surface finish. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut combination.
