The KENNAMETAL 4054524 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit sized at Letter L (0.2900 inches diameter) with a 140-degree split-point angle. Built for demanding production drilling, it features a multi-layer TiN/TiAlN coating over a submicron carbide grade, giving it the wear resistance needed for hard and abrasive workpiece materials. Overall length is 3.5820 inches, flute length is 2.0860 inches, and maximum drilling depth reaches 2.9375 inches. The straight shank and regular spiral flute geometry make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. This bit is part of the Kenna Universal series and conforms to DIN 6535 and DIN 69090-3 specifications. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the typical end users.
This drill bit is designed for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the straight shank fully in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before cutting. Engage through-coolant supply when available to maximize tool life in hard or high-temperature alloys. Never operate at feeds or speeds outside the tool manufacturer guidelines for the specific workpiece material.
