It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a TiAlN PVD coating that delivers high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The insert carries a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, a 0.0625 inch corner radius, and an insert thickness of 0.1875 inch. With 4 available cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it suits a wide range of toolholder setups. The RP chip breaker geometry is optimized for roughing and medium machining applications.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate KENLOC clamp and pin toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is indexed to a safe position before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamp to avoid edge chipping from improper seating. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or damage each time an insert is indexed or replaced.
