The KENNAMETAL 4053364 is a solid carbide turning insert with ANSI designation DNGG432LF and ISO designation DNGG150408LF, finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating and assigned grade KCU10. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides a sharp, precise cutting profile suited for finishing and light machining operations. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.1875-inch insert thickness, and a 0.0313-inch corner radius, this insert fits standard KENLOC-series toolholders using clamp or pin holding. It is designed for licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators working in high-production or precision turning environments.
This insert is applied in turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Its LF chip breaker geometry and honed cutting edge make it particularly effective for finishing cuts on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (workpiece material codes P, M, K, N, S, H). The KCU10 grade delivers high wear resistance with moderate toughness across these material groups, making it a reliable choice for consistent surface finish results in both manual and CNC turning setups.
