The KENNAMETAL 4050688 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CNMG432P geometry, manufactured under the KENLOC series and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process. The insert carries grade KCU10 and is designed for turning, facing, and boring operations across a range of workpiece materials. It features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch corner radius, and a negative rake with a honed cutting edge. Four cutting edges are available per insert, and the neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable across standard CNMG toolholders. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.

The 4050688 is suited for roughing and medium machining operations. Its grade characteristics cover steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), aluminum and non-ferrous materials (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hardened materials (H).
