The insert features a solid carbide substrate with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, delivering high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape provides a strong cutting edge geometry, while the FF chip breaker is optimized for finishing operations. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius, this insert suits tight-tolerance finishing passes where surface finish and dimensional control are critical. Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or wear that could affect insert stability before each installation.
