The KENNAMETAL 4047069 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a chamfered edge profile at the cutting corner. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN coating, this tool delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for cutting ferrous metals, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys. It features a 0.315-inch mill diameter, a 0.6299-inch length of cut, and a 3-flute fine-pitch geometry. The 20-degree maximum helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC milling machines, and manual knee mills where a corner chamfer profile is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its usefulness across a range of milling strategies including slotting, profiling, and chamfer blending. The fine pitch and 3-flute configuration suit applications in medium to hard workpiece materials. The 8 mm shank diameter fits standard collet systems and tool holders designed for that shank size. Typical applications include chamfering part edges, blending radii, and finishing operations in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining.
Designed for use with standard tool holders and collet systems accepting an 8 mm shank diameter. Part of the KENNAMETAL F3BH series of corner chamfer end mills.
This end mill is installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or tool holder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with an indicator after installation, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades chamfer accuracy.
