The KENNAMETAL 4046285 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. With a 4 mm cutting diameter, 11 mm length of cut, and 5 flutes, it delivers excellent material removal rates while maintaining surface finish quality. The 38-degree helix angle and variable index flute spacing reduce chatter and vibration during cut. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when machining at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is a single-end, right-hand cut tool from KENNAMETAL's UCDE series, intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.

The 4046285 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. Its 6 mm shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on CNC machining centers and CNC mills. The 55 mm overall length provides adequate reach for typical pocket, slot, and profile milling operations without introducing excessive overhang. It is not center-cutting and is not designed for direct plunge entry. Coolant-through capability is not present, so external flood or mist coolant is the standard cooling method for this tool.
