The KENNAMETAL 4045321 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TPGT style, designated TPGT181505LF with KCU10 grade. It carries a PVD-applied TiAlN coating engineered for high wear resistance across a range of cutting conditions. The insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a positive rake angle of 5 degrees and an 11-degree relief angle, contributing to a free-cutting geometry suited for finishing and light machining passes. The inscribed circle measures 0.2188 inches, insert thickness is 0.0938 inches, and the corner radius is 0.0079 inches. Three usable cutting edges and a screw-on holding method make this insert a practical choice for production turning operations. This insert is designed for turning, facing, and boring operations. Installation is performed by CNC machinists or tool room technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts.
