The KENNAMETAL 4041094 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter, a 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute spiral geometry set at a 38-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and a strong cutting edge. The uncoated, micrograin carbide construction at material grade K600 provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work. It is a single-end, centercutting design with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction, making it suitable for both peripheral and plunge milling operations. Machinists and tooling specialists in production and job shop environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a long-length-of-cut tool is required. The variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive passes. The 0.75 inch shank diameter matches standard toolholder collets and shrink-fit chucks commonly used in CNC machining centers and knee mills. A 4-inch overall length gives added reach for deeper pockets and stepped features without requiring an extended-reach holder.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 3/4 inch toolholders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured to the correct torque specification for the toolholder type in use before beginning any operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool to confirm proper chuck engagement. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety protocols when handling carbide cutting tools.
