The KENNAMETAL 4034880 is a solid carbide milling insert with ANSI and ISO designation WOEJ090512SRHD and manufacturer grade KC725M. This double-sided, trigon-shaped insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding milling applications. With six cutting edges, a positive rake geometry, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, the insert is engineered for efficient chip formation and consistent performance across high-production milling operations. It is held in place by screw clamping and is designed for right-hand cutting. The HD chip breaker designation indicates suitability for heavy-duty cutting conditions across a range of workpiece materials.
This insert is intended for use in milling cutters compatible with the KenFeed cutter series. Primary workpiece material applications include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to material grade codes P, M, and S. It is suited for both roughing and general-purpose milling in industrial machining environments. Installation and tooling setup are performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians in shop or manufacturing settings. The insert size code is 090512, with material grades C5, C6, and C7 applicable.
Compatible with KenFeed cutter series toolholders. Designed for use in milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials. Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO designations WOEJ090512SRHD.
Insert replacement and indexing should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw. Inspect the insert seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer documentation and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide inserts, as edges are sharp.
