The KENNAMETAL 3854762 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.750 inch mill diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The three-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with rigidity, while the 37-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduced vibration. Manufactured to KENNAMETAL material grade K600 micrograin carbide, the tool holds tight tolerances and maintains edge integrity under demanding conditions. It ships uncoated with a bright finish.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shop, production, and toolroom settings. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. The 0.750 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in both vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is particularly well-matched to applications in alloy steels, cast iron, and similar materials where a rigid, high-precision micrograin carbide tool is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for most CNC milling programs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application tool within the KENNAMETAL AADE series. Fits any toolholder accepting a 0.750 inch straight shank, including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks conforming to that bore diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping — excessive runout accelerates edge wear and degrades surface finish. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and KENNAMETAL recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
