The KENNAMETAL 3760355 is a DNMG432MP indexable turning insert in grade KCM25, designed for steel and stainless steel machining operations at roughing to medium depths of cut. The insert features a multilayer CVD coating stack of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD, delivering high toughness against steel (P) applications and moderate wear resistance for stainless steel (M) work. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape provides four cutting edges per insert with a neutral hand orientation. Insert length is 15.5 mm with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 0.0313-inch corner radius. The MP chip breaker geometry is suited to roughing and medium machining passes where chip control and edge stability are the priority.
This insert fits the KENLOC toolholding system and is suitable for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Typical installation environments include CNC turning centers and manual lathes where DNMG-style insert pockets are used. The negative rake and chamfered, honed cutting edge style make it appropriate for interrupted and continuous cuts in production or jobshop environments. It meets both ANSI and ISO dimensional standards, with ANSI code DNMG432 and ISO code DNMG150408.
Designed for use in KENLOC toolholders accepting DNMG432 (ANSI) or DNMG150408 (ISO) insert geometry with negative side clearance (N tolerance class M). Suitable for multi-use applications including turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician following the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamp specifications. Confirm the insert pocket is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the insert to prevent rocking or incorrect seating. Always index or replace inserts with the machine spindle stopped and power locked out. Inspect the chip breaker pocket and clamp pin for wear at each insert change to maintain consistent clamping force.
